Member Update - A Warm Welcome

We are delighted to announce the appointments of Claire Llewellin-Davis as Managing Director and David Long as Club General Manager this July. Claire and David join the senior management team at what is an extremely exciting time for The Lensbury and our club community with key projects planned for the coming months.

These key appointments will bring a further wealth of leisure and club management experience to the team and cement our ambitions to continue to offer a first-class service and exclusive leisure club experience to all of our members.

Claire Llewellin-Davis, Managing Director

Claire will lead the team at The Lensbury and steer the strategic vision for the club and resort, bringing an abundance of experience in leisure club management gained over the last decade. Claire has joined the team fresh from Asia where she has spent the last 4 years, initially as General Manager with the prestigious Hong Kong Jockey Club and most recently as General Manager of the Hollandse Club in Singapore. Prior to that, Claire spent 9 years at one of England’s most prestigious private members’ clubs, The Hurlingham Club after an 8-year career in the British Armed Forces. Her military career saw her deploy to both Iraq and Afghanistan.

Claire is a keen sports enthusiast and, with her family, enjoys turning her hand to many sports including running, skiing and particularly tennis!

Commenting on her arrival at The Lensbury, Claire said “I am very excited to be joining The Lensbury, having watched the developments since 2019. It is a beautiful setting, filled with endless potential. I couldn’t be prouder to have joined the team at this exciting time and I really look forward to getting to meet many of you over the coming weeks and months”.

David Long, Club General Manager

Alongside Claire, we are also delighted to welcome our new Club General Manager, David who will responsible for the day-to-day operation of the club facilities, leisure team and member satisfaction.

David has amassed over 20 years of experience at leading leisure clubs and brands both in the UK and UAE. His experience will ensure The Lensbury continues to innovate and deliver a leading fitness and leisure offering for our members with a focus on first-class service and standards.

On his appointment, David said “I am absolutely delighted to be heading up the club team and joining the exclusive community at The Lensbury. I very much look forward to meeting you all over the coming weeks and to working alongside you to make our club community even better…”

As we welcome David, we must also say a fond farewell to our outgoing Club General Manager, Mo Kasaei as he moves onto a new challenge later this year. We are sure you will join The Lensbury team in wishing Mo all the best for the future and to thank him for his consistently friendly face and guiding leadership over the last 2 years. His last day will be Friday 15 July 2022.
